How can I structure my instructions?

In this article you will learn, how you can structure yourself inside of GIRI and how to bring structure to your instructions.

In order to create and structure instructions you will need to have the manager or organisational admin access rights.


Inside Giri we know Projects, Giris (Instructions) and Chapters.

Projects can be factory buildings or rooms. Instructions are for one machine or work area. Chapters are to cover more than one topic for one machine (eg daily operations, set up, daily cleaning, …). Our links and QR codes always point at one instruction, not a a project or chapter.

One good example would be to have a project named “building 54” or “injection moulding factory”, a machine named “IJ123 and a chapter called “tool installation” or “daily maintainance”.

Notice, that inside the actual instructions you can have multiple steps and by making use of patterns, we also help you to bring more structure into the actual instructions. More about patterns can be found in this article.
